Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
BSCS
Focuses on computing concepts, algorithmic foundations, and software engineering. It prepares students to design algorithmically complex software and develop new algorithms for solving computing problems.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) program includes the study of computing concepts and theories, algorithmic foundations, and new developments in computing. Given the technical nature of the discipline, the primary goal of computer science education is to raise the technical competencies of learners, develop their analytical and critical-thinking skills, and cultivate a habit of lifelong learning. Among the different programs under the Information Technology Education (ITE), the BSCS graduates are expected to develop more optimized complex software solutions since most of the program’s courses focuses on algorithm analysis. Since the start of Industry 4.0, the graduates of ITE programs, especially BSCS graduates, are very high in demand in various industries because most processes are already dependent on software systems to effectively manage information.
