🏆 We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Mariella Lyka Pasamonte (CS Alumna) and her adviser, Mr. Michael Anthony Jay Regis, have brought home the 🏅 1st BEST RESEARCH PAPER Award for their study, “Development of Freshwater Snail Classifier using Convolutional Neural Network.”

This prestigious recognition was given at the 7th International Conference on Automation, Mechatronics, and Robotics (ICAMEROB) 2025, with the theme “Innovating for a Sustainable Future: The Role of AI in Automation, Robotics, and Mechatronics” held on September 24-26, 2025 at Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan, Philippines. Co-organized by our very own Visayas State University, the event showcased groundbreaking innovations in automation, robotics, and AI.
