Mr. Maniego is an Instructor at Visayas State University (VSU) bringing a unique blend of industry experience from Lexmark Research and Development Corporation in Cebu, where he worked until 2020. His transition from industry to academe reflects a commitment to shaping the next generation of computing professionals while maintaining active engagement in cutting-edge research and development.

He holds industry certifications including Open Source Technical Documentation Essentials (LFC111), Software Engineering Basics for Embedded Systems (LFD116), and has achieved Level 3 in the Test of Practical Competency in ICT (TOPCIT). His technical skill set spans multiple programming languages (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, R) and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Flask, Vue.js, Flutter), making him a versatile full-stack developer with strong AI/ML capabilities.

During his tenure at Lexmark, he presented at internal R&D forums including "Python as a Friend" and "MFP Functional Output Testing using CNN," demonstrating his ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively. He has also served as a resource speaker at the Symposium on AI: Empowering Education through Technology at Gabas Integrated School.

Beyond technology, Mr. Maniego is a fellow of the 18th Lamiraw Creative Writing Workshop under the KATIG Writers Network Inc., showcasing his interdisciplinary interests and strong communication skills. He is also a certified drone pilot, having completed training at the University of Mindanao, and actively participates in university initiatives including strategic foresight workshops and intellectual property masterclasses.
