James Frances C. Zamora is an Information Technology professional and Instructor I at Visayas State University – Isabel Campus under the Department of Information Technology. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree in 2023, graduating Cum Laude and receiving the Best Capstone Project & Research award for his outstanding academic performance and project development.

His award-winning capstone project, “Design and Development of Online Boarding House Finder and Occupancy Platform System for Region 8 (BoardNa8)”, involved the creation of a web-based platform integrating mapping technology to improve location accuracy. The system enables users to search for nearby boarding houses, submit applications online, manage property listings, monitor occupancy status, and access reviews—enhancing accessibility and visibility for both proprietors and prospective tenants.

Prior to his academic appointment, he served as a Document Controller at Philippine Associated Smelting and Refining (PASAR) Corporation from February 2024 to August 2024. In this role, he managed document control processes, facilitated routing of documents for approval through DocuSign, assigned drawing numbers, tracked revisions, and utilized Microsoft Excel for monitoring and reporting. This experience strengthened his organizational, technical documentation, and coordination skills.

As an educator, he teaches various IT and interdisciplinary courses, including Web Systems, Programming, Applications Development, Capstone Research, and selected general education subjects. His teaching approach emphasizes practical application, critical thinking, and real-world project development to prepare students for industry and research environments.

His research interests focus on Web Development, Full-stack Development, and Open-Source Software Development. He actively participates in professional development activities, including seminars and workshops on ethical hacking, networking fundamentals, and Python programming. Driven by a passion for innovation and education, he remains committed to contributing to meaningful technology initiatives while mentoring students to become competent, ethical, and socially responsible IT professionals.
