Carlo Jude Pedrera Abuda is an Information Technology professional, educator, and researcher with extensive experience in academic instruction, research development, and information systems. He currently serves as a faculty member and department leader in Information Technology at Visayas State University Alangalang. He holds a Master of Science in Information Technology and actively pursues advanced studies and research in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and intelligent computing systems.

His scholarly work focuses on emerging technologies, particularly in the areas of web application security, machine learning–based intrusion detection, and intelligent information systems. He has contributed to several research projects and publications presented in international conferences and journals. In addition to his academic work, he actively mentor’s students in programming, research development, and technology innovation, while supporting institutional initiatives in curriculum development, digital transformation, and community extension programs.

Through his professional and research engagements, he continues to promote innovation, responsible technology use, and the advancement of information technology education in the Philippines.
